Grow Boston Greener :: 100,000 Trees by 2020

Grow Boston Greener (GBG) is a collaborative effort of the City of Boston and its partners in Boston’s Urban Forest Coalition (BUFC) to increase the urban tree canopy cover in the city by planting 100,000 trees by 2020. The planting of these trees will increase Boston’s tree canopy cover from 29% to 35%, by 2030 as the planted trees mature.

	GBG has wrapped up a successful 2008 season with a variety of planting events this Fall. Check out the calendar to see what's coming this winter!
	Free Trees! Come to one of GBG's Tree Give-Aways next spring: May 2, 9, 16, 30, and June 6, 2009. Locations TBD.
	The Boston Tree Party -- a chance to get dirty at a large site in the city.
